Equally Effective Access Accommodation Plan for Buckeye Degree Planner

In order to launch Buckeye Degree Planner, we needed to develop an Equally Effective Access Accommodation Plan (EEAAP), which in turn had to be approved by the university’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator’s Office.

Our Equally Effective Access Accommodation Plan

What are the accommodations that will be in place?

EEAAP staff will provide assistance to the individual requesting accommodation in the following formats: email. Staff will respond within 1 business day and determine a timeline to provide an accommodation within 3 business days. We will make every effort to make accommodations for individuals that make such a request.

Anticipated ways of accommodating users include verbal delivery of material, staff member assistance with data entry or rewriting of material in a format the user can access (for example, writing out text in a linear format via email).

What is the plan for communicating the existence of the accommodation and for relaying information between involved parties?

The plan will be shared with staff (TBD) who may interact with enrolled students.

There will be a statement on the Buckeye Degree Planner web page (TBD) about the existence of EEAAP options. Statement: University Registrar and Academic Advising will include the following language on their website.

This university utilizes a degree audit and planner tool developed by Stellic. If you encounter an issue with access to this tool or have a disability and experience difficulty, contact University Registrar or Academic Advising EEAAP staff for assistance. (description subject to change)

Please expect up to one (1) business day for a response.

[Faculty/Staff] Contact Information for University Registrar EEAAP staff is Lisa Duffy, Associate Registrar, email: (degree audit general email)

What is the timeline for implementing the plan?

The EEAAP plan will be effective at the same time the tool is made available to students and advisors.
